Cooper Group had set its separate automotive plant under the tag name of Cooper Automotive Ltd in 1993. Company trails an integrated process of Forging followed by Machining & Heat Treatment , enabling to deliver precision & quality finished product by in house monitoring the critical process parameters.

Constant up gradation of skills through training programs in India & abroad, an exemplary work culture & a professional approach towards the quality has made every member of our team geared for new challenges.

The Company has been incurring expenditure on R&D as per requirement. New machines are installed, to upgrade the machining plant on regular basis, to keep up with the market demand. The Company obtained quality certification ISO/TS 16949:2002 in 2003.

CAL is a manufacturer of
  • Closed Die Steel Forgings (with a capacity up to 100 Kg component of any profile), Gears, Shafts, & Coupling Sleeves.
  • Crown Wheels and Pinions.
  • Machining of light & heavy components and other precision machined components, which have application in Diesel/Petrol Automotives, Tractors, Industrial, Earthmoving, Stationary, Marine, Two-Wheelers & Four Wheelers Engines and Vehicles.
 
Quality manufacturing is done through the following in –house facilities:

For Design & Development of Dies:
  • CAD (2D CAD & 3D CAD Viewer and Publisher) & CAM.
 

For monitoring the quality of incoming Materials & Heat Treatment:
  • Fully equipped Material Testing lab for Material Steel Test.
  • Jominy Test equipment.
  •  Microscope with Image Analyzer for Heat Treatment Micro Inspection.
 
To achieve the close micro parameters of metallurgy we have:
  • Gas Carburizing Furnace.
  • Sealed Quench Furnace with PLC’s.
 
Quality Machining through:
  • CNC Turning Centers.
  • CNC Gear Hobbers.
  • CNC Gear Shavers.
  • Horizontal Machining Centres.
 

A fully equipped Tool Room with:
  • Vertical Machining Centres.
  • EDM Wire Cut.
  • EDM Die Sinking.
 

To monitor & support the manufacturing quality, well equipped Standard Room with:
  • CMM Configured with P/C.
  • Lead & Profile  P/C Configured Testers.
  • Micro Contamination Testing through Millipore testing equipment & other precision Instruments.
 

The Company has engaged experienced professionals to head the divisions of Forging, Machining/Gear Cutting and Heat Treatment & Crown wheel & Pinion.These divisional heads have their own reporting systems, operating with SAP ERP Software.
In our endeavor to be an environment friendly company, we have adopted clean fuel LPG for all the heating operations, which is least damaging to the environment.
